When Chico Ryder from California was 10 years old he was diagnosed with a tumor in his throat that wrapped around his carotid artery. It's a deadly soft tissue cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma. Surgery was not an option so he underwent chemo and radiation which left him in a wheelchair with his life draining out of him. His mother researched cannabis and started him on cannabis oil and he responded positively almost immediately. Today, at 21, he has been cancer free for 10 years and is pursuing a career in cannabis. When Scott Davis of the UK was diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer in 2018, doctors said he had only 12 to 18 months to live—realistically only a few months. With two young children and another on the way, Scott took his life into his own hands and started taking cannabis oil along with making dietary changes. It has been a long and emotional road for Kelly Hauf from Oklahoma, who was originally diagnosed with a brain tumor in the year 2000. That began more than 10 years of anxiety and stress until it was discovered the tumor was growing and a second brain tumor was found. Rejecting conventional treatment, Kelly and her husband Rick began a long journey of learning about cannabis oil, using it and then getting the "all clear" a number of months after following the protocol. Rick started using cannabis oil for his prostate issue with great success.
When he was diagnosed with lung cancer, Mark Winter of Arizona underwent chemotherapy but was told to call hospice and be comfortable as there wasn't anything further that doctors could do for him. Over the course of the last decade, Jessamyn Way from Oregon has undergone 5 brain operations, one of which she was given only a 5 to 10% chance of survival and told that if she did survive it was unlikely she would be able to walk or talk normally. The multiple pharmaceuticals she was taking resulted in two miscarriages and it was only when she started using cannabis she was able to have two beautiful daughters. Last summer, she spent 28 days in hospital after doctors operated on her to deal with her severe epilepsy. Jessamyn is joined by her husband Todd to tell her inspiring story.
In late October of 2021, Jim Colvard of Orlando, Florida was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma, the most common primary lung cancer in the United States and the leading cause of death. It has a strong association with smoking and Jim was a smoker. He had a few conventional treatments but he and his wife Dana Beardshear attribute the use of cannabis oil for effectively dealing with the cancer. He has had three scans with "no evidence of disease."
